Modernization of the IST furnace-04

The need to transfer the IST furnace-04 modern thyristor control appeared a long time ago. Analysis of the operation of this foundry equipment shows, that the main disadvantages of the old management method (using a machine generator) this is an increased consumption of energy resources and frequent breakdowns, time to eliminate which takes more and more (in view of the, that manufacturers have not produced this type of furnace control for a long time).
Based on the foregoing, the management of the enterprise made a decision to modernize the IST furnace.-04. A contractor has already been identified and two contracts have been concluded for the supply of equipment and the implementation of commissioning works. A list of necessary equipment has been determined and a schedule for modernization has been outlined. Planning solutions for the final determination of the number of strapping equipment were handed over to the customer (water cooled cables, pipe tires, etc.).
Modernization of the IST furnace-04 in terms of excluding the machine generator in the control process with replacement with a modern thyristor one will reduce energy costs and ensure stable operation in the foundry.
