High thermal loads negatively affect the service life (resilience) roof refractories, their replacement – expensive and time consuming process. Solving the problem of increasing the service life of roof refractories (and the whole vault as a whole) will significantly increase the operating time of the furnace without repair, and it will also be possible to exclude the use of expensive mulite corundum mass.
Expected average life of a new EAF furnace roof 1,5 in comparison with the old current should increase in 1,5 times.
