Explosion-proof induction motors with squirrel-cage rotor designed to operate on a three-phase alternating current network, frequency 50 Gc i 60 Hz for the drive of stationary machines in explosive coal production (AIU engines, VAIU), chemical, gas, oil refining industry (AIM engines, AIMM).
Engines are manufactured for deliveries to countries with moderate (with the type of climatic modification U2, 5) and tropical (with the type of climatic modification T2, 5) climate. Engines AIM90, AIMM 90 – 280 also have version ОМ2, B5 (for sea vessels).
Mounting and connecting dimensions of motors are given in the table 3.
The connection of the motor power to the installation and connection dimensions corresponds to РС 3031-71.
Designed for S1 operation, operation of motors in S2 modes is allowed, S3, S4 at one of the standard voltages from 220V to 660V. VAIU motors are manufactured for voltage 660/1140 V.
By agreement with the manufacturer, motors can be manufactured powered by frequency-controlled converters..

Protection class of motors: IP54. At the request of the consumer, AIMM132-280 motors can be manufactured with a degree of protection IP55. Thermal class of motor insulation «F» (engines of VAIU – Class «N»). Series motors, 2AIU225,250, АИММ280-1 are made with winding from rigid coils.
Motors are manufactured in the following versions according to the installation method in accordance with GOST 2479:
– on paws – IM1081(for AIMM280 – IM1001);
– flange-mounted – IM2081 (for AIMM280 – IM2001);
– without feet with flange – IM3081 (for AIMM, AIU225, 250 and AIMM 280 – IM3011).
By agreement, motors can be manufactured with two shaft ends.
AIMM90 motor terminal box – 112, AIU90 – 200 has three power feed-through clamps, engines AIMM132- 280, AIU225,250 – six power clamps.
AIUL asynchronous explosion-proof motors with a squirrel-cage rotor are designed to operate from a three-phase alternating current network, frequency 50 Hz for the drive of mine winches type LV-25, LVU-25 in explosive production of the coal industry.
Climatic version U2.5; T2.5.

Protection degree IP54. Insulation heat resistance class “F”. S4 operating mode.
Installation type IM1081; IM2081; IM3081.
The AIUL motor terminal box has three power feed-through clamps.
Technical characteristics of motors for a current frequency of 50Hz are given in the tables 1 and 2.
Mounting and connecting dimensions of motors with the height of the axis of rotation 90-200 mm given in the table 3 and in the figure 1.
Mounting and connecting dimensions of motors with the height of the axis of rotation 225-280 mm given in the table 4 and in the figure 2.
Mounting and connecting dimensions of VAIU112-200 motors correspond to the sizes of AIU112-200 motors.

IExdIIBT4(H2):
I – Explosion protection level mark for explosion-proof electrical equipment.
Ex – The motor meets the standards for the types of protection.
d – Flameproof enclosure.
IIB – Explosion category of a mixture of gases and vapors with air.
T4(H2) – Electrical equipment temperature class sign (Chemical formula of hydrogen, forming a combustible mixture with air)

RV 3V
RV – Electrical subgroup.
3V – Explosion-proof enclosure.
